In the first, I trying to understand what 'Augmented reality' means. As Jaap said, I have look at the dictionary.

From the research, I realized Augmented reality means 'Better life'. My starting point is how to make a better life to human (and us).

I am to create a project base on a theme that written to my essay title, which is Augmented reality. In my essay I wrote how Augmented reality gives lot of information to us and how it works.
As a majority of people use smart phones and tablets getting more and more, many apps are coming out and making our ives more comfortable, and also we could find lot of augmented reality apps easily. Our imagination into reality now. Before start of project I thought about 'why people use app'. I think people pursue 'comfortable life', and also lot of AG apps bring us much better life compare to past.

First, I am really interesting about plague issue nowadays. Because in Korea, huge amount of people suffer the MERS virus now. 33 people dead, 184 people are infection and 16000 people are quarantined. Many infections are caused because lack of information and do not know who infected. Therefore, recently the government released personal information of infected people. But I think the problem is if i go to cafe and infected people seat next my table, it is not easy to recognize he or she is infected.
Despite government efforts, the number of MERS infected people are still being increased. And people are still worried and complain about this circumstances.
So I decided to created apps base on this idea. I created virus hunting game base on the Augmented reality system. For the reason I created this app is reduce the spread of MERS diseases, and people can to relieve stress get into the game with killing virus. Reduced stress is used the psychological aspect.

Firstly, I tried to research how MERS virus look like. After that, I created simple MERS virus icons. It will using for the game app.

These are sketching MERS Virus icon for the game. After that, I drew these icon into the computer program which is Illustrator CS6 with a pen tool

Red colour represent suspected infected people and Green virus represented infected people. This is the rule from korean hospital.

After draw my idea, I created apps into computer. Used Illustrator program with pen tool. Drew all icons and buttons. And also took a picture to using into the app screen.

Second, I researched about Augmented Reality apps from Google Play and App Store. Found 15 Best Augmented reality apps and tried to know how system works. Moreover, I tried to find game app base on the Augmented Reality system.
I looked at the AG system utilization and icons(buttons) design to get some idea. My design concept can giving information of the MERS patients and also enjoy the game at the same time.

Before I learn about Augmented reality, I found this app from App store. It is my favorite AG app. Title of this app is "Street Museum London". If you are in the location pictured, you can click on the "3D view" button and the app will recognise your location and overlay the historic image over the current view

It helps me for the gaming system, and get some idea from this research.

The like-minded WorkSnug may have once been our top-tier choice when it comes to apps for discovering Wi-Fi locations, but that was well before Lookator came to our attention.Whereas the aforementioned WorkSnug solely relies on user-created database of Wi-Fi locations, Lookator searches and finds Wi-Fi networks directly.
I do not think this app is really useful for us, however, the reason i chosen is because icons.

For my concept, reducing the spread of MERS diseases, and people can to relieve stress get into the game with killing virus. In psychological aspect, majority of korean people are stressed and scared of MERS virus. To killing the virus game could reduce the stress and fright from MERS disease. If you know who have a MERS virus around you, then you can protecting yourself.
To using this app, Walk or run around using GPS and your phone's camera to find and catch MERS virus patience.
The game offers information of infected people. On the GPS map, it will shown red and green colour silhouette. Red colour is represented suspect infected people, and green means infected people. This is the hospital notation. The reason I follow the same colour with the hospital notation is because it is easy to communicate.
And using the game, there is 4 red dots between two joystick. It means you only have 4 chance to shot. And under the 4 dots, there is wind measurement, users need to consider the wind before shooting. Why I give only 4 chances, its because '4' means kill and die in Korea.

And also there is green sign and red sign on the left hand side picture. It all given personal information and green sign is infected people. The bottom of the sign. there is 5 dots, it dedicated how dangerous he/she is.
