CONDITIONAL DESIGN
Conditional Design is a design method formulated by the graphic designers Luna Maurer, Jonathan Puckey, Roel Wouters and the artist Edo Paulus, in which conditions and rules of play are drawn up that invite cooperation within a ‘regulated’ process towards an unpredictable design or result. The book Conditional Design sets out to provide insight into the method in an exciting way and to invite others to apply the method themselves. Conditional Design plays with chance, frameworks and generative systems and is a 'play' method that provides possibilities for every creative person. The system is surprisingly simple, and allows every team to set their own rules. The book functions as a workbook; the designer Julia Born has organized the material step-by-step, and shows in Conditional Design Workbook just how this exciting process works.

Play with four people in one group, and each player has colour pens (Red, green, blue, and black). Each player places a dot on paper at position, however can not create longer than 10 cm lines.
For this workshop we did a few exercise’s working in groups and creating something together. Using data as tools to programming and creating.
EXERCISE 1
In groups of 4, each player holds a different coloured marker. We started by someone trying to draw perfect circle in the middle of the paper. Then the next person had to correct the circle you have drawn to make it an even perfect circle.
EXERCISE 2
In groups of 4 again, everyone held a different coloured marker (black, blue, red and green). Each person made a dot on the piece of paper no further apart than 10cm’s. From this the players take turns drawing lines. Each line drawn has to connect to another dot on the paper keeping in mind that the angles of the lines must be within the following range: 0 to 45 degrees for the black lines, 45 to 90 degrees for the blue lines, 90 to 135 for the red lines and 135 to 180 degrees for the green lines. Trying to connect the line to an existing line if possible and draw the shortest possible line from your starting point.
EXERCISE 3
I had to write down out birthdays in Roman letters in this order (Date/Month/Year).

Mine worked out to be
XIII III MCMXC (23/3/1990)

Then finally we had to design our own rules for the exercise. Which are:

1) The first letter starts in the center and it continues like a spiral to the left.

2) If there's a letter before the "X" , the two letters need to join.

3) For the "I", the circle needs to be at the two extremes of it.

3) When a double I comes - "II" - a double line is over the both letters.
FINAL OUTCOME
After the class, I look at the book about Conditional design. I thought i need to learn more about and also I would like to do more practice things to do. The title of the book is "Conditional design workbook" I found 1 workshop which is able to do by myself.
RULE
- the players take clockwise turns lasting 30 seconds.
- use a stopwatch.

First turn: Draw a filed-in circle in the center of the paper.
Second: Following turns: Improve the circle's round shape by enlarging its borders.
Third: Stop when the circle is perfect
